BR10i is a low profile half length 2U adapter based on the LSI 1068E chipset. The Option part number is 44E8689, FRU Replacement part number is 44E8690. There are two x4 mini SAS SFF-8087 connectors on the right side of card. There are no external connectors. It supports RAID 1, 0 and 1E. Note that if a system is upgraded from BR10i to ServeRAID-MR10i, it will not be possible to migrate any 1E arrays. It supports Hot-Spare drives. The BR10i is installed in a dedicated slot on the SAS riser card in x3650 M2 and 3650 M2 servers. BR10i supports a total of up to two arrays, for example only up to two RAID 1 arrays. If more are required, it is recommended to move to MR10i (P/N 43W4296). BR10i supports 64K stripe size only. If alternative stripe sizes are required, the MR10i is recommended. BR10i does not have any cache or backup battery. If required the MR10i is recommended for its 256MB cache and optional backup battery (P/N 44E8826).
